Why is your beer gluten-free?

Simply put, we believe in craft beer for all. With millions of Americans living with gluten intolerances, allergies, and gluten-free lifestyles, many are deprived from enjoying the simple pleasure of having a beer. We’re here to change that, and are uncomprimising on ingredients, flavor.

What ingredients do you use?

The ingredients we use have been found in beer recipes for thousands of years all around the world. Buckwheat, millet, and rice make up the majority of our malts, but we also use oats, maize, and other ingredients that do not contain any gluten.

I’m Celiac/gluten-intolerant, can I have your beer?

Our facility is dedicated gluten-free, which means zero gluten containing products are allowed in our space to protect those who are Celiac, or hypersensitive. We always recommend reaching out to one of our knowledgable staff members if you have a specific intolerance or allergy.

What’s the difference with gluten-free vs gluten reduced?

Many breweries who claim to be gluten-free really aren’t. There are methods that exist which attempt to “remove” or reduce the amount of gluten in their products. These beers are still made with barley and wheat and are not safe for those with Celiac or to anyone who has an intolerance or allergy to gluten.

Where are you located?

We are located in Oakland’s Historic Jack London Warehouse District at 401 Jackson Street. Our brewery can be found among more breweries than anywhere in Oakland, as well as independent coffee roasters, artists, and local businesses.

Do you ship?

We do! With our current license, we can ship anywhere in California.

I live outside of California, can I place an order?

We cannot ship alcohol outside the state of California, but we can always ship merchandise!

Do you allow pets in your taproom?

Due to our kitchen space, service animals only are allowed. Well-behaved pets are allowed at our outside tables.
